Boosting a Pest Control Company’s Growth

The Challenge

In a DMA with a population of 750,000, we worked with an emerging pest control company struggling to stand out in a crowded market. They came to us for help with their digital marketing, seeking to grow their online presence and generate more leads. They had a limited budget, but we knew if we could help them dominate their own backyard first, we’d have an opportunity to grow together.

The Solution

  • We started by developing a custom SEO strategy tailored to their needs. We focused on optimizing their website’s current content, structure, and link profile to help them rank better in their primary geo where their office was located. We also optimized their Google Business Profile, ensuring it was 100% complete and that all of their local citations were consistent with the business info contained on their Google listing. Within a few months, we started to see improved rankings in the local and organic search results, positioning them for a promising bug season. We then began working on expansion, which meant securing more investment from the client to allow us to ramp up blog production, create local landing pages, round out their backlink profile, and set up a new office location in a neighboring city. These efforts improved organic traffic and attracted more leads who were able to discover them in Google Search.
  • We also implemented a PPC campaign to diversify the marketing plan and compete more fully in the increasingly competitive search results. We carefully selected keywords that potential customers were likely to use when searching for pest control services. We monitored and adjusted the Google Ads campaign to ensure maximum return on investment, targeting the most relevant audiences and minimizing wasted ad spend.

The Result

The result was a significant increase in both organic and paid traffic to the client’s website. In just one year, our client saw a 49% increase in leads. This growth wouldn’t have been possible without a customized strategy.
